This course meets and exceeds the requirements laid down by Ofsted, EYFS and SureStart for those needing a 12 contact hour first aid course for adult, infant and child. A full practical day in the classroom face to face with an instructor, can also be taken as an annual paediatric refresher course. As stated by the Statatory Framework for the EYFS "All newly qualified entrants to the early years workforce who have completed a level 2 and/or level 3 qualification on or after 30 June 2016, must also have either a full PFA or an emergency PFA certificate within three months of starting work in order to be included in the required staff:child ratios at level 2 or level 3 in an early years setting"

Free Student First Aid Course. No Catch. Just life saving skills.

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes. Additional skill evaluations optional

FREE Student first aid. No catch. Suitable for all, aimed at older primary aged children and upwards.

This course is ideal for those who require a basic first aid course and work or volunteer in sports sectors.

This course teaches you implications of poor health management in addition first aid. You will understand what high blood pressure and high cholesterol really means, and why you need to know. This is vital for those who work in sports.

If you require an FA Emergency Aid course, or you are part of a national governing body in sport such as the Lawn Tennis Association, please let us know as you may need our EFAW course. Advanced and outdoor sports First Aid courses also available.

Dementia Awareness

Duration: 3.5 hours

Gain a wider understanding about Dementia, signs and symptoms, causes and treatment. Improve communication with dementia patients and engage them in activities. Certified Canine first aid course. First aid for Dogs. Online or tailored classroom courses available

This course allows for a more tailored service that covers dogs only. Course fees include a manual and certificate. If you would like to cover specific breeds, circumstances, or conditions not covered in the pet first aid syllabus, please get in touch.
This is also a great Petworking opportunity. We have seen many dog walkers/ pet sitters share experiences and ideas. New connections and friendships are also created on many of our courses.
Please note, because you lovely lot all have so much to say, and so many questions, we try to limit classes to just 6 learners. Never more than 12 max. If you have specific queries in addition to the syllabus please let us know prior to the course so we can arrange to discuss these afterwards.

A popular relevant first aid course for those working in schools or running after school and holiday clubs. Our Sports First Aid in Education and Extra-curricular covers relevant syllabus from Paediatric, Sports, and the recently upgraded FA Emergency Aid (FAEA) courses. This course also takes into account the DfE guidance on first aid for schools. It is ideal for coaches and teachers not on the permanent school staff headcount.

If your current risk assessment has highlighted any additional gaps please contact us. We would be happy to advise you on the most appropriate course. This course fully meets The Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and subsequent changes.

Those with sole charge care of infants and children, are recommended one of our level 3 Paediatric courses.

Security Dog First Aid.

Time: 10 to 13.30

Duration: 3.5 hours

This course is approved by NASDU for the requirement of pet first aid in their standards. First aid is important to know for your security dog not only to comply with associations and local authorities but also for animal welfare and to help a dog in need. The nature of working with dogs will pose a risk that they may be harmed in the course of their work or transport. Course fees include (upon successful completion) a detailed First Aid Manual, official certified wall certificate and handy wallet card. Online courses are all video based, not slide based, so it’s more like having your very own personal tutor on a flexible timetable.

We have designed this course to meet the NASDU learning outcomes and added a few extra modules to ensure full understanding.

Safeguarding of Children (Child Protection)

The Bridge First aid is proud to be working with Millie’s Trust to deliver their Family First Aid course accessibility throughout the Eastern region.
Millie’s Trust was established by Joanne and Dan Thompson following the loss of their daughter Millie in a choking incident at nursery in October 2012. They believe that everyone should have access to First Aid Training no matter what their situation in life. Millie’s Trust aim to make First Aid Training readily available at minimal cost and in as many places as possible.
If you have a child under the age of 12 months or are struggling to leave a donation, the courses are absolutely FREE. If you are not in this bracket then we suggest a donation of £20.
All attendees will be asked to leave a £20 deposit to secure each place that is booked.
Following your attendance on the course - you can leave the deposit as a donation or you can request a refund of the deposit back to you.
NB: If you are not in a position to pay a £20 deposit to secure your place, please feel free to contact dan@milliestrust.com and we will make other arrangements to ensure that you can attend.

This course is predominately for flight attendants who are required to not only look after clients but also their animals.
Animals must be checked over by a Vet within a specific time frame when crossing boarders. Why not have piece of mind that you or their guardian will know how to cope whilst in transit.

Our petworking events are fantastic opportunity to share ideas, pick up all sorts of useful tips and information, and make new connections. This is an informal meet up although you will have an opportunity to pitch your own business to the group, this is not mandatory.

Equestrian First Aid at Work Course

Time: 10am to 4.30pm

Duration: 18 hours over 3 Days

This course is aimed at human first aid for anyone involved with horses where the First Aid at Work qualification is needed in addition to specific injuries involved when working with horses and a course tailored to equestrian subjects. If you are involved in teaching riding or other activities you are required to have the BHS first aid qualification or the HSE First Aid at Work qualification. With this course you will gain the approved FAW with extra subjects and apply the course to the equestrian world.

EFAW Certified (Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3)

Duration: 6 hours

This course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2017 changes.
This course is also recognised by the FA for those who require the FA Emergency Aid course. All our courses include safe defibrillator (AED), and haemorrhage control skills. In the event of serious incident the confidence and skills gained on this course are invaluable. Ideal for a refresher, re qualification, or individuals who have never attended a first aid course.

Additional course dates and on site delivery at short notice upon request. Open classrooms also run monthly in various Cambridgeshire locations (all with free parking).

First Aid at Work (FAW) Level 3.

Duration: 18 hrs over 3 days

Price: £180 per student. (group discounts available) Includes Manual and certificate


The First Aid at Work Level 3 qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require a fully trained first aider for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes.
All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015.
We deliver in house throughout the UK, even at short notice.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Adult or Youth MHFA

A nursery or a private group, it's really important to keep your skills current and practice. Is there something you are not too sure about and naughty professor google is just confusing you even more. Perhaps you are organising a team building day and thought you would make great use of it this year? Fill the board room or canteen with CPR manikins....? You don't require a full course or just think the team should all know how to spot signs and symptoms of a heart attack? You have no idea what to do with the packets that explode out of your first aid kit.... you are not alone. We can accommodate you and your team.


Essential Babysitting First Aid course. Infant and child basic life support. First Aid in a home environment.

This course is suitable for responsible babysitters, parents and grandparents who have not previously attended a First Aid course and/or; those wanting to refresh their skills. We have a duty of care to both our own and other people’s children, weather babysitting or hosting a play date. Would you know what to do in an emergency? Gain the confidence and skills appropriate for dealing with an emergency.

Instructors have both 'Prevention for Practitioners' training and a Current DBS. A really informal fun way to learn an essential subject. We also offer training in your own home at no extra cost.
If you have a group of 3 or more why not book a date to suit you at no extra cost.

Learners who are 16 and under also receive access to the online training, which we recommend they take prior to the classroom session. Details outlined in the syllabus.

First Aid for Cyclists

Duration: 4.5 hours

Cyclists are at an increased risk to accidents and are more likely to stop at another accident. When dealing with a cycle accident, there is also the risk of being hit by another vehicle. This course is aimed at all cyclists, whether you race or use your cycle in town. This course covers basic life support skills and the specific problems that are faced by cyclists. The course can be taught locally or at your local cycle club.
